Fursuits are mascot-like costumes worn by members of the Furry Fandom! What, furries? Aren't they gross? No! The Furry Fandom is revolved around creativity, and a love for anthropomorphic animals. Furry conventions have a main focal point of raising money for animal rescues and shelters (and of course having fun!) And no, not all furries have costumes! Only about a quarter of the community owns a fursuit!
ARE THEY SAFE?
Absolutely! Of course, they do get hot, especially during warm days. Be sure to always stay hydrated and take breaks to cool off while suiting for safety! Fursuits usually have a limited field of vision. I always recommend having a handler to look out for you while you are out and having fun!
DO YOU USE REAL FUR?
Of course not! I love animals, and would never consider using their fur in my costumes. I use 100% faux fur fabric, and it comes in many shades and lengths. HOWEVER, not all colors are available, so keep this in mind!
WHEN ARE YOU OPENING?
Usually, I will try to announce my exact opening dates at least one month prior. I often also announce what season the opening will take place even sooner than that. Please follow the Twitter account for the most up to date information!
HOW MUCH WILL MINE COST?
You can go to out PRICES page for a general idea on the pricing of the costume you want. I only give quotes at the time of openings, and quotes are only valid for that opening. So even if you applied for a quote in the past, you need a new one each opening!
Do you accept deadlines?
No. I will not accept any con/holiday deadlines of any sort. While I will get your costume done in a reasonable time frame, please understand that deadlines often result in rushed work, and rushed work is not good work. I want you to have my best work, and that takes time!
can you make [copyrighted character]?
I cannot make any copyright characters! Please don't ask me to do so. I can, however, make your original character! EX: A Pokémon OC that has very distinct markings. A MLP OC that does not resemble another character in the show (main or background!)
What is a dtd?
A DTD is short for Duct Tape Dummy. It's essentially a mold of your body for me to work off of if I'm making a bodysuit for your commission. Please keep in mind that these do take a few hours to make, and is uncomfortable! Gather some friends, and stay hydrated. My personal favorite guide is this one from the talented Mischief Makers!
Can you make this if it's not listed on your site?
I am always up for a unique challenge! Please use my contact form to ask further questions regarding your project, or head straight for the Quote Form! I'd be happy to tackle unique shapes, plush style suits, minor electronics, and more!
What if I wear glasses?
Not a problem! I can make your fursuit head with extra room for your glasses! Please keep in mind that a lot of people experience fogging up when suiting, so invest in a defogging spray if possible!
Do you take small part commissions?
The short answer is no, a head only commission is the minimum. However, if you're a returning customer looking to upgrade a commission you got from me in the past, please use my contact form or reply to the original email thread! I should be able to accommodate most returning customers small orders. On occasion I may open for slots, but I will mostly have premade parts available.
What payment methods do you accept?
PayPal is always preferred! However, I can also accept payment with credit/debit cards, Square, SquareCash, and checks.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! The most common payment plan I offer is first taking the 35% deposit, and then the remainder of your amount will be split into a monthly payment plan, which is available as low as $150 a month! You can always pay in full upfront, or pay in larger amounts, but not less! I really advise having most of the money ready at the time of your commission! Late payments are not tolerated and may result in fees or cancellation.
What if I don't have a reference sheet?
If you don't have a reference sheet of your character, you can commission me for one! My ref sheets range from $40-75. Even if you are able to draw your own character, or use free lineart online, that is okay! As long as I can see the markings clearly. With every commission, I will draw concept art of your character in my style, so you can let me know if I've missed anything at all.
